Under Eye Treatment

The Under Eye area is an important part of the face when it comes to having a fresh, youthful appearance as it is one of the first areas on the body that show significant signs of ageing . Dark circles and bags on the lower eyelids appear with age and make us look older than we really are and make some people more insecure than with the appearance of wrinkles. The main reason for the formation of dark circles is due to the blood vessels under the eyelid losing stability and strength.

There can be many other factors that contribute to the formation of dark circles. Fatigue, vitamin deficiency, hyper pigmentation, allergies, medical conditions or even something as natural as ageing can lead to dark circles. One of the most common factors or cause of dark circles can also be heredity.

Mesotherapy is a method in which vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other active substances are injected directly into the third layer of the skin where the blood vessels are, the mesoderm. Mesotherapy provides an intensive hydration and nutrition to the skin itself, and the ageing process is significantly slowed down.

The goal of mesotherapy in the skin rejuvenation process is to increase the activities of fibroblast, cells responsible for production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronin in the skin, and to supply a high concentration of active substances necessary to regenerate healthy and youthful skin. With repeated procedures the depth of the wrinkles is reduced, the amount of collagen is increased and therefore the skin tone is improved.

A deep tear trough can create a shadow that is perceived as a dark circle below the eye. It also creates a division between the lower eyelid and cheek that is an early sign of aging around the eyes. Patients with deep tear troughs often complain that they look more tired and older than they really are. A tear trough deformity can be corrected with fillers. PRP treatments for the under eye and the upper eyelid area are regenerative treatments which means the PRP injection and application leads to stimulation of your own collagen and elastin and regeneration of new healthy skin tissue . Individual results will vary depending on your body’s response to the PRP induced collagen regeneration.
The type of PRP treatment most suitable for you is determined by your presentation of the under-eye condition. For under-eye and upper eyelid pigmentation, PRP with Micropen and with intradermal PRP injection is an excellent choice and gives dramatic results in most treated individuals.
